Privacy Policy - AI Chat Folders

AI Chat Folders stores chat folder metadata in browser-managed storage and synchronizes it through Chrome Sync when available.

What data is stored

Folder names created by the user.
Saved chat titles entered by the user.
Saved chat URLs.
Last selected folder per supported platform.
UI language preference (TR/EN).

Where data is stored

chrome.storage.sync (primary): used for account-based synchronization across devices signed in with the same Google account.
chrome.storage.local (fallback/backup): used for reliability if sync cannot be written.
Page-level local backup (window.localStorage on supported hosts): used as an additional recovery layer for developer-mode reinstall scenarios.

What data is NOT collected

No external analytics.
No tracking pixels.
No remote code execution.
No transmission to third-party servers operated by AI Chat Folders.
No collection of chat message content.

Permissions usage

storage: required to save folders and preferences.
Host permissions for Gemini, ChatGPT, and Claude: required only to inject UI and save chat links on those websites.

AI Chat Folders does not sell, rent, or share your stored folder data with third parties.

Data deletion

Users can delete saved folders/chats directly from the extension UI. Removing the extension may remove extension-scoped local data according to browser behavior.
